    Earth News / Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani affirmed today, Monday, the government's commitment to international aviation standards, while referring to the government's support for the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority and its financial and administrative independence.
    A statement by the media office of the Prime Minister, received by Earth News Agency, stated that "Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani received the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Juan Carlos Salazar and his accompanying delegation."
    The statement indicated that “during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance Iraq’s cooperation with the international organization in the field of developing and efficient air transport, and adherence to international standards regarding the safety of air transport, and discussing ICAO’s support for the Civil Aviation Authority to develop capabilities and human capabilities, and raise the level of the performance".
    The Prime Minister affirmed, according to the statement, “the government’s support for the Civil Aviation Authority and its financial and administrative independence, and everything that would contribute to improving the reality of civil aviation in Iraq,” pointing to “the government’s commitment to international aviation standards.”
    For his part, the Secretary-General of the Civil Aviation Organization blessed the government of Iraq bypassing the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority’s security audit stage, praising “the government’s support for the Civil Aviation Authority through accrediting international experts to develop Iraqi civil aviation.
