    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani affirmed that there is a category of officials and employees that are protected by political forces, while indicating that there are no red lines on combating corruption in Iraq.
Al-Sudani said in a televised interview with Al-Arabiya channel, which was followed by (Baghdad Today), that "early elections require the dissolution of parliament," noting that "the decision is in the hands of the political blocs and that the government is ready to conduct them."
Regarding the Sadrist movement's withdrawal from the political process, Al-Sudani expressed "hope that it will participate in all political activities in the country," describing the Sadrist movement's decision to withdraw from parliament as "unfortunate."
And the Prime Minister confirmed that "the third Baghdad conference will be held in the capital," while noting that "there are discussions with Tehran and Ankara regarding the water file."
As for the ongoing attacks on Iraqi territory, the Prime Minister stated that "the government rejected the Turkish and Iranian attacks through official procedures."
And he indicated that "Saudi Arabia is a pivotal country and a strategic partner for Iraq," stressing that "Iraq is not a transmitter of messages between Washington and Tehran, but rather an initiative owner and a close point of view."
He also stressed that Iraq "does not allow attacks on diplomatic missions and advisors of the international coalition, and will not allow any party to bring Iraq into wars."
