    Today, Saturday, Oil Minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani called on the concerned authorities in state institutions to support the Office of Financial Supervision .
    And the Ministry of Oil stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "on behalf of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, sponsored the celebration of the (96th) anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau.
    The statement added, “The minister conveyed, during the celebration organized by the Federal Bureau of Financial Supervision on the occasion of the (96th) anniversary of its founding, the congratulations and blessings of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, to the President of the Bureau, praising the professional and national efforts of the employees of the Federal Bureau of Financial Supervision."
    The Minister of Oil called on all concerned parties in state institutions to "the need to provide support and support to the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau to carry out its duties on the basis of ensuring the preservation of public money, and to work to respond to the Bureau's requirements by amending and correcting the wrong financial and accounting paths in state departments, to serve the public interest.
    He added, during a speech he delivered on the occasion, that "oversight bodies enjoy clear support from the Prime Minister and members of the esteemed Council of Ministers, to perform their duties professionally and independently, in line with the government program's plans and visions in combating corruption, preserving public money, and adjusting the course of development and strategic plans.” to support the national economy and sustainable development.
    Abdul-Ghani referred to "the long history of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, whose oversight duties and work began in 1927, with the beginnings of the establishment of the Iraqi state, and this is a matter of pride and honor for all of us, and puts those in charge of it, before many responsibilities and challenges, as it fights corruption and adjusts the course, because it is a financially and administratively independent body with a legal personality, and it is the highest financial oversight body linked to the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
    For his part, the head of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, Rafel Yassin Khudair, said, “One of the most important goals of the strategy that the Bureau is working on for the period (2023-2027) is to emphasize the promotion of concepts of integrity and transparency."
    Khudair stressed "the pioneering role of the State Audit Bureau in protecting public money to achieve the goals of sustainable development."
    The celebration included, according to the statement, "announcing the Bureau's awards for the best audit reports during the year."
