Mechanism for allocating lands and housing units for employees of the Ministry of Defense:
Each member of the Iraqi army (ranks - employees) is considered one of the categories covered by the allocation of lands and housing units, similar to other categories covered by law, and the beneficiaries are nominated according to the controls below by the Directorate of Military Housing: 1. The
Directorate Military housing, in coordination with the relevant directorates, with the periodic follow-up of ranks and employees who have completed actual service exceeding sixty months, i.e. five years or more.
2. Those included who have served well for the period referred to above are checked with the hometown index in the volunteer data and corresponding to the statistical number checked for the purpose of determining the location of his entitlement to the plot of land according to the hometown of the beneficiary.
3. Requests for allocating a piece of land to the beneficiaries are promoted directly by the Land Department in the Directorate of Military Housing to the municipal departments in the governorates and provide them with the names of the beneficiaries for the purpose of providing our employees with the allocation sequences. When distributing, they provide the Military Housing Directorate with the number of the plot, the district and the area that is allocated to the beneficiaries.
4. The Directorate of Military Housing contacts the beneficiary's unit and provides all units with the employee's sequence and the name of the municipality that was approached to allocate to the employee.
5. The beneficiary must review the municipality directorate to which he is affiliated to promote the allocation transaction and find out its general sequence.
6. According to the continuous directives of the Chief of Staff of the Army, there is a follow-up by the Housing Directorate with the governorates’ municipalities to follow up on the allocation of the Ministry’s employees.
7. With regard to the wounded among the ranks and employees and those against whom decisions of a medical committee were issued confirming that they are war wounded and have a disability rate of 30% or more, they are excluded from the condition of spending five years in service, and he also has the right to choose the governorate and municipality that he wishes to be exempted from the condition of the birthplace only Resolution No. (57) of 2015.
8. With regard to officers, they are the responsibility of the Association for Building Housing for Officers.
