    The head of the Faw Zakho gathering, MP Amer Abdul-Jabbar, strongly criticized Thursday for the delay in distributing the ration card items during the holy month of Ramadan, while calling on the Prime Minister to hold the Minister of Commerce accountable for the delay.

    Abdul-Jabbar said in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that "there is a clear delay on the part of the Ministry of Commerce in not distributing the ration card items to the beneficiaries, even though we have entered the end of the month of Ramadan.” 
    He added, "We had hoped that the Ministry of Commerce's efforts would be doubled in order to reduce the burdens of the economic recession that struck large segments of society. We note that there is a delay in distributing the ration card items, which represents a disregard for citizens.” 
    Stressing the necessity of "holding the Ministry of Commerce accountable and explaining the reasons for the delay in distributing the ration card items for the month of Ramadan before the specified date, stressing that millions of poor people have not yet received a full share of the ration card items. He stressed that" there is a move by Representative Hadi Al-Salami to interrogate the Minister of Trade 
    except The approval has not yet been obtained. 
    And a member of the House of Representatives, Sarwa Muhammad, earlier, expressed her surprise about the delay in distributing the ration card items during the blessed month of Ramadan, asking the Ministry of Trade to adhere to the timing of distributing the ration card items.
