Today, Wednesday, Reuters International News Agency revealed that Iraq's daily oil production decreased by about 262,000 barrels per day for the month of April compared to the month of March, which put the country below the OPEC production line.
And the agency stated, according to what was translated (Baghdad Today), that "Iraq's production in general decreased by about half a million barrels from the line specified for export by OPEC Plus, noting the negative consequences for the Iraqi economy in the event of the continued decline," suggesting that "OPEC will compensate for it." other countries to continue.
The agency indicated, "The decrease in Iraq's oil production during the past month comes as a result of Baghdad winning a court ruling that prevents Turkey from exporting oil extracted inside the Kurdistan region of Iraq without the approval of the central government, which stopped about 450,000 barrels per day from reaching the international market."
It is noteworthy that the problem of exporting oil from the region is still under discussion, as the government is still in the process of discussing the application of the oil and gas law before re-exports from the region, which in turn were associated with political and economic problems with Turkey, according to what (Baghdad Today) showed in a previous report.
