Political analyst Qassem Balshan warned, on Sunday, of the interventions of the US ambassador in Baghdad, Elena Romanowski, and her meetings with political and security officials, pointing out that behind these interventions are plans to destabilize and withdraw some information that Washington needs to serve its interests in Iraq.

Balshan said in an interview with "The Information", "The US Ambassador Elena Romanowsky is a graduate of Tel Aviv University and has a clear imprint in the security aspects, and despite her diplomatic function, she continues to interfere in security affairs and meets with various leaders and political parties."
He added, "Romanowski's meetings send clear signals about America's standing behind certain events, far from resorting to the language of violence, but rather taking behavior and soft steps that it is trying to translate through some security leaders."
And he indicated that "the US ambassador's dealings with security leaders may have behind him plans aimed at withdrawing information about how to deal with events or disturbances that may occur in the future and knowing security plans regarding tensions or protests that may occur." ended 25 n
