[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The Ministry of Planning launched today, Tuesday, the results of the Small, Small and Medium Enterprises Survey and the executive program emanating from it, and the launch of the executive plan for the survey and qualitative study messages for MSMEs, in partnership between the Ministry and the United Nations Development Program and with the support of the United States Agency for International Development, which was implemented in two phases. And in six Iraqi governorates to support and develop the private sector in Iraq.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry for Technical Affairs, Maher Hammad Johan, said in a speech during the results launch ceremony held at the Ministry's headquarters, "The implementation and completion of such important qualitative surveys and studies, in light of the directions to address and reform the national economy and activate the strategy of advancing the private sector and enabling it to contribute effectively to moving the wheel of economy in all its sectors. The completion of the specialized qualitative study of the conditions of micro, small and medium enterprises It comes in complete harmony with the government's directions, by opening new horizons for the Iraqi private sector, in order to achieve the principle of partnership."
The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Development Programme, Abdullah Al-Dardari, indicated, "The launch of this survey will provide an analysis of small, small and medium enterprises and projects in Iraq, identify their needs and discuss growth opportunities, in addition to providing evidence for policy makers to support their strategy and create job opportunities, especially for the deserving groups, stressing the importance of companies At the level of policies and implementation in all sectors.He pointed out that this survey supports the strategic direction of the Iraqi government towards diversifying the economy to develop the private sector, develop its capabilities, and establish a system conducive to these projects and businesses.
For his part, the head of the Central Bureau of Statistics, Diaa Awad Kazem, said: Supporting small and medium enterprises is one of the main priorities of the government, as it works hard to provide financial and logistical support for these projects or to train. and qualify human staff, in addition to establishing a culture of self-employment and enacting the necessary legislation to overcome obstacles facing this sector.”
He added, “This survey was carried out by the agency in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program in three governorates (Kirkuk, Babil, Dhi Qar) through focus groups, which include various bodies related to the work of micro, small and medium enterprises. and owners of pilot projects.
