Al-Hakim calls for the legislation of the Iraqi media network law

Al-Sabah,
the head of the al-Hikma Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, called yesterday, Monday, on the House of Representatives to complete the legislation of the Iraqi Media Network Law and provide its allocations, indicating that there is a development in
the network's joints.
Al-Hakim said, during a visit he made to the building of the Iraqi Media Network to offer congratulations on the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Iraq Radio: "Radio Republic of Iraq was distinguished by its antiquity and originality, as it was the second radio in the Arab world after Radio Cairo, which preceded it by two years."
He added, "We hope that our national media will keep pace with the growing global development, defend the nation's issues, and express the citizen's concerns."
And he indicated that "the Iraqi Media Network plays the role of the mother institution that bears the responsibility of all national and local media to form a common vision regarding enlightening public opinion, communicating the positives, and expressing the achievements that we are proud of in our country.
"
Al-Hakim explained that "the visit came to express this interest and appreciation for the Iraqi Media Network, and to present some proposals for future prospects," noting that "we found great understanding from the presidency of the network."
He praised "the channels of the components (Al-Hurriya, Turkmen and Syriac)," stressing "their importance in reflecting the culture of the Iraqi components," noting that "diversity is a source of enrichment for Iraqi culture."
He stressed that "there is a continuous development of the Iraqi media network," calling on "Parliament to complete the legislation of the network law and provide the necessary allocations to advance its reality with all its prospects and future projects."
