On Saturday, the Ministry of Agriculture revealed the reasons for the relative rise in the prices of some crops, while noting that this rise is under control.
The ministry's spokesman, Muhammad al-Khuza'i, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), followed by "Al-Iqtisad News": "There is a relative increase in the prices of some crops as a result of increased consumption of them and the influx of millions of visitors from outside Iraq to perform the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)." .
He added that "the relative rise in prices is under control," noting that "the agricultural calendar has opened the door to importing crops, and we have reached self-sufficiency."
He stressed that "during the next few days, prices will return to normal."
