Today, Monday, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, confirmed that 98 percent of the details of the ministry’s government program had been completed, while indicating that a lottery for appointments had been conducted for four governorates.
Al-Shammari told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), followed by “Al-Eqtisad News”: “Our hosting by the Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee in Parliament is to discuss the government program, as we presented the ministry’s verified government program.”
He added, "A number of representatives expressed their observations and they were recorded," noting that "the priorities of the Ministry of Interior are being discussed and the existing requirements are being addressed."
He stated, "The details of the ministry's government program were presented, and our procedures were 98 percent good."
Regarding the appointments lottery, the minister stated that “today the Ministry conducted the appointments lottery for four governorates in the presence of members of the Security and Defense Committee,” noting that “in the coming days the lottery will be conducted for the other governorates.”
