[rtl]The Independent High Electoral Commission confirmed that three candidates for the local elections may be excluded.
The legal advisor for candidate affairs at the Commission, Hassan Salman, said in a press statement, “The Commission sent a batch of names of individual candidates to the relevant authorities, such as the Accountability and Justice Commission and the Integrity Commission, to scrutinize nomination requests, and there is an indication of three candidates included in the exclusion, but no decision has been issued regarding them, and if it is issued and no... “If they are challenged, they will be initially excluded as individual candidates.”
He added, "As for the candidates for the lists and parties, the lists of names will be sent after next Sunday to all concerned parties, and everyone who has any indicators will be excluded."
He continued, "The Commission grants the candidate who shows negative indicators of accountability and justice the right to appeal and gives him two days to obtain the result of the appeal. If he does not obtain it, he will be excluded by the decision of the Board of Commissioners.”[/rtl]
