The Minister of Justice, Dr. Khaled Shawani, received, in his official office, the French Ambassador to Baghdad, Eric Chevalier, a number of judges, the French Public Prosecution, and their accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed cooperation and coordination in the legal and judicial fields that serve the interests of both countries.
The Minister of Justice praised France's support for Iraq in various fields, especially files of common interest between the two sides.
For his part, the French Ambassador and his accompanying delegation appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Justice in achieving human rights standards in correctional departments and improving performance in judicial departments.
