Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Authority’s Investigation Department carried out two seizure operations, after monitoring the waste of billions of dinars in the General Authority for Taxes in Diwaniyah, and fraud in the Real Estate Registration Directorate.
The department indicated in a statement that the Investigation and Judicial Control Division in the Authority’s investigation office in Diwaniyah noted that the field survey committees in the General Authority for Taxes did not carry out their role in following up on the activities of registered and unregistered taxpayers, which led to a waste of public money as a result of the lack of annual tax revenues achieved to Half.
She pointed out that tax accounting was conducted for (32) doctors out of a total of (305) registered doctors, and (20) pharmacies out of (124), and as for the registered laboratories, the number reached (501) laboratories, of which accounting was conducted for (135), noting that Only (66) private schools were registered as a result of the survey committees not performing their role, indicating that the annual revenue achieved, which amounted to approximately (5) billion dinars, could have been greatly doubled if these committees adhered to their tasks.
She explained that the preliminary restrictions on the transfer of ownership of a property were set in the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Diwaniyah based on the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code, despite the presence of a sign that the Sunni Court of First Instance had not acted on it, indicating that the value of the property exceeds (50,000,000) million dinars.
