[rtl]The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, received in his office the Chief Program Coordinator and Head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Iraq, Mr. Ali Al-Barir. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed his guest and discussed with him a number of issues of common interest regarding increasing cooperation in combating the drug scourge.
Al-Barir praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior in the field of combating drugs and organized crime, especially the efforts made by the Minister in providing logistical, training and intelligence support in this field.
For his part, the Minister thanked the United Nations for its support and assistance to the Ministry of Interior, which seeks to continue joint coordination in the security field.[/rtl]
