The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al-Alaq, said on Saturday that the bank’s daily sales of dollars in the currency auction amounted to approximately 200 million dollars in order to maintain the stability of the exchange rate in the market.
This came in a statement he made to reporters on the sidelines of the annual Iraqi banking conference in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which was held in its first edition in the city of Erbil under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.
Al-Alaq added in his statement, “Every day we open new channels for external financial transfers to provide more facilities in this field.”
