The Parliamentary Education Committee approached the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to allocate 15 percent of the admission rate to the medical group for graduates of the sixth middle school from distinguished schools, in addition to opening a special channel to accept them.
Committee member Zaytoun Al-Dulaimi reported this in a statement to Al-Sabah, explaining that the measure will contribute to supporting students from academically distinguished schools because they are not distinguished by central admission from their peers and the type of focused and difficult studies they studied throughout the duration of their education in distinguished schools

She confirmed that there is great interest from the parliamentary committees concerned with this segment, as they have studied for six continuous years with difficult curricula and in the English language, which requires them to be fair in the issue of central admission so that each of them gets his academic entitlement, noting that most of them obtained grades exceeding 100 percent despite the difficulty of the ministerial questions.
Al-Dulaimi noted that most of the families of graduates of distinguished schools are forced annually to register their children in private colleges to achieve their ambition to enter the medical group, but the annual tuition fees for these colleges have risen significantly and exaggeratedly, calling on the concerned authorities to pay attention to this matter, since wages are not commensurate with the families’ monthly income. Which puts them in confusion about the future of their distinguished children.
