MP Baqir Al-Saadi confirmed on Sunday that more than 50 investment opportunities in the housing file will be offered in 2024.
Al-Saadi said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, that “investment by companies in the private sector and capital owners is one of the important solutions.” “There are a series of measures proposed to alleviate the burden of the housing crisis in the country, and there are a series of measures that have actually begun to give greater flexibility in completing procedures, whether administrative or legal, while accelerating the pace of land grants.”
He added, "40-50 investment opportunities will be offered during 2024 in the Iraqi governorates according to specific mechanisms in order to build complexes according to the principle of integrated services, with the need to include all segments, including low-income people."
He pointed out that "investments in the housing sector will remain among the priorities with the proposal to build new cities, especially in the vicinity of Baghdad, because the housing crisis is at higher rates than in other provinces."
Iraq has been suffering from a stifling housing crisis in recent years, in light of efforts to develop objective solutions that address the crisis through investments.
