Assistant Governor of Kurdistan for Economic Affairs, Ali Nouri, announced that a joint industrial city will be established between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
In a speech he delivered today, Tuesday, at the meeting held by the Committee for Facilitating Work and Removing Obstacles to Production in the Kurdistan Governorate, especially in the city of Bana, Nouri stressed that the implementation of the project to establish this city is considered a favorable opportunity to enhance border exchange, and he saw that it provides the groundwork for more Flourishing activity of importers and exporters in Islamic Iran.
The official expected that technical science would be transferred to producers in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and confirmed that the latter, in turn, would export raw materials to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Assistant Governor of Kurdistan for Economic Affairs added: The city of Bana is characterized by good capabilities for producing household appliances and lamps, and the possibility of developing these production units.
He stressed the need for the government and private sectors to make more efforts to transform the city of Bana into a pole for the production of household appliances and lamps, calling for work to provide hard currency to export these goods.
