A Kurdistan civil society organization called on more than 20 countries friendly to the Kurdistan Region to intervene in order to what it described as “breaking the siege” imposed by the Iraqi government on the Kurdistan Region, while indicating that the region had adhered to all its agreements with Baghdad.[/size]
[size=45]The head of the International Peshmerga Foundation, Hvidar Shikhor, one of the civil society organizations in the Kurdistan Region, said during a press conference in front of the United Nations representation in the region, “We have sent letters and complaints to more than 20 representations and consulates of friendly countries of the Kurdistan Region, including America, Britain, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and the Emirates.” And Qatar because of the blockade imposed by the Iraqi government on the Kurdistan Region.”[/size]
[size=45]He added, "We have a legal and legitimate right to defend the rights of the region. All the agreements signed between the governments of the region and the center were implemented by the region, but Baghdad did not implement its obligations."[/size]
