Sudanese approves a strategic project in Erbil

{Local: Al-Furat News} The Erbil Governorate Administration announced today, Tuesday, the “initial” approval of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to include the fourth excretory water project in Erbil within the 2024 federal budget, while the Erbil Municipality Department revealed the development of a heritage street worth one billion dinars. .
Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw said in a press interview, “Municipal departments have cleaned about 500 km of sewage in the city of Erbil and its outskirts, and more than 10,000 sewage holes have been cleaned in preparation for the winter season and in anticipation of future waves of rain and floods.”
He added, "We asked Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to implement the excretory water project 4 within the 2024 budget because it is a strategic project and will be implemented by Saudi companies," indicating that "Al-Sudani promised that the government would make a serious attempt to include this issue within the budget, and that he sees Erbil as important as the capital of the Kurdistan region." “His government will make administrative preparations for this project.”
Khoshnaw stated, "This project represents a solution to water problems, especially for new areas on the outskirts of the city."
