    Today, Wednesday (November 15, 2023), Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani launched executive work on three new projects to relieve traffic congestion in the capital, Baghdad.
    Al-Sudani's media office stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani launched executive work on three new projects within the first package to relieve traffic congestion in Baghdad."
    Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani launched four new projects, within the first package to relieve traffic congestion in the capital, Baghdad.
    The new projects, launched by the Prime Minister in various areas of Baghdad, included a project to construct a bridge and tunnel at the Fine Arts Intersection, which includes two bridges linking the road coming from Al-Mustansiriya University to the road leading to Al-Sarrafiya Intersection, and vice versa. The length of one bridge with the approaches is about 400 meters and a width of 9 meters. .
    As for the second project, it includes developing the intersection of Al-Rashid Camp with Al-Dora Expressway (Al-Mashn Complex), and includes the construction of a 470-meter-long tunnel with two lanes to and from, connecting (Al-Rashid Camp and Al-Zafaraniyah Road) with (the Karrada area), as well as the construction of a fly-over bridge with a length of 805 meters and a width of 9 meters connecting the road. New Baghdad at Al-Rashid Camp and Al-Zafaraniyah, in addition to developing the surface intersection that will operate with high smoothness to serve vehicle traffic on the (New Baghdad-Karada) (Zafaraniya-New Baghdad) and (Karada-New Baghdad) roads, with a total length of about 2 km for the service streets.
    While the third project includes developing the Cordoba-Port Said Street intersection, and constructing the Cordoba Bridge, 725 meters long and 18 meters wide, along Port Said Street, from the Tayaran Square Tunnel, crossing the Muhammad Al-Qasim Bridge Road.
    As for the fourth project, it includes the construction of the road linking the Muhammad Al-Qasim Highway and the (Kirkuk-Baghdad) Road, passing through the Al-Basateen neighborhood, and extending the Muhammad Al-Qasim Highway to intersect with Al-Saddah Road, which extends to intersect with the (Kirkuk-Baghdad) Road, with a length of about 2.5 km, with two lanes to and from. The project also includes the construction of a bridge on the Army Canal Road crossing over the Muhammad Al-Qasim Highway, with a length and approaches of 700 metres.
