Parliament completes the report and discussion of the Commission’s law proposal and adjourns its extraordinary session

Today, Saturday (November 18, 2023), the House of Representatives adjourned its session after completing the report and discussion of the proposed law amending the Election Commission Law.
The Council's Media Department stated, in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "the House of Representatives has completed the report and discussion of the proposed law amending the Independent High Electoral Commission Law No. (31) of 2019."
She added, "Parliament adjourned its session."
Earlier, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened the work of the extraordinary session of the fifth electoral session at the request of (50) deputies, and the number of attendees reached 173 deputies.
