Today, Tuesday, the House of Representatives finished its report and discussion of the draft law on freedom of expression and adjourned its session.
The council's media department said in a statement, "The council finished its report and discussion of the draft law on freedom of expression, assembly, and peaceful demonstration, and adjourned its session that it held today."
During the session, the House of Representatives finished the report and discussion of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention for Search and Rescue at Sea (SAR) for the year 1979. The House of Representatives
also completed the report and discussion of the draft law ratifying the cooperation agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of maritime transport.
In the same session, the House of Representatives completed the report and discussion of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the 2005 Protocol related to the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms on the Continental Shelf of 1988.
The House of Representatives also completed its report and discussion of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the protocol amending the Convention regarding crimes and some other acts committed on board aircraft.
The Council of Representatives voted on a draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the agreement establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development of 1990, and on a draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the basic system of the Islamic Organization for Food Security.
The House of Representatives decided to extend its legislative term until the budget law is approved.
