{Local: Al-Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Bassem Al-Gharabi, ruled out recording infections with the new mutant of the Coronavirus in the country.
Al-Gharabi told Al-Furat News Agency, “Through our follow-ups, no infections or entry of the new Corona mutant were recorded.”
She explained that "what citizens are afflicted with now are colds that occur at the beginning of the winter seasons, and failure to be aware and take vaccines that protect for a period of 7 months, which are present and available in abundance, but the culture of immunization causes a reluctance to use them."
Al-Gharabi noted that “colds and their symptoms differ from one person to another and can be treated by taking known treatments, and health institutions provide a treatment protocol for them.”
She confirmed that "there is no admission of the new mutant, as evidenced by the absence of any infected person in isolation hospitals."
On the 21st of this month, the World Health Organization warned that a coronavirus variant is spreading in the world and still represents a threat, noting that “there are currently three new variants that raise concern and six variants under surveillance, without reaching the level of cause for concern.”
