Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Water Resources clarified the details of the (Siphon Al-Touz) project in Salah al-Din Governorate, while confirming that the completion rate reached more than 80% and the work will be completed within the specified times.
The Ministry stated in a statement received by News, “The Al-Faw General Company for Irrigation Projects Implementation, one of the Ministry’s formations, is implementing Contract No. 227/T/ for the year 2022, which includes the rehabilitation of the damaged part of (Siphon Al-Tooz), where the work included reconstructing the damaged parts with a total length of 152 meters. With a width of 8 units, each unit is 3.75 m and a height of 3 m, with a drainage capacity of 51 m3/s.
She added, “The works included burial with compacted dirt, and on both sides of the project, with a width of 50 m, from the front and back, with a quantity of 400,000 m3, as well as pouring work with reinforced concrete concrete,” noting that “The completion rate has reached more than 80% and work is underway to complete the remainder within the specified times,”
she explained, “The project aims to transfer water from the third to the fourth phase and deliver it to semi-reclaimed agricultural lands from the Kirkuk Irrigation Project to the final phase, which serves an agricultural area of about Approximately 160 thousand dunams in the governorate.”
