The Media Authority signs a memorandum of understanding in cybersecurity

Baghdad: Al-Sabah,
Chairman of the Media and Communications Commission, Ali Al-Moayyed, yesterday, Tuesday, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company “Huawei” in the field of cybersecurity and capacity building.
A statement by the authority stated, “The memorandum aims to increase interaction between the authority and Huawei to increase opportunities for future cooperation, joint innovation, knowledge exchange, training courses, and development in the field of cybersecurity for government agencies in Iraq.”
He added, "According to the memorandum, Huawei will support the authority in the field of cybersecurity based on the company's experiences in this field and the exchange of joint experiences in a way that enhances the capabilities of government employees and officials in a systematic manner."
