Today, Tuesday, Chairman of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Moayyed, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company “Huawei” in the field of cybersecurity and capacity building.
A statement received by Al-Iqtisad News stated, “The memorandum aims to increase interaction between the authority and Huawei to increase opportunities for future cooperation, joint innovation, knowledge exchange, training courses, and development in the field of cybersecurity for government agencies in Iraq.”
The statement added, "According to the memorandum, Huawei will support the authority in the field of cybersecurity based on the company's experiences in this field and the exchange of joint experiences in a way that enhances the capabilities of government employees and officials in a systematic manner."
It is noteworthy that the Communications and Media Commission is open to all companies specialized in the field of information technology for the purpose of developing skills and enhancing capabilities in the field of cybersecurity.
