On Thursday, Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani ratified the title deeds of the Nebras petrochemical project in Khor Al-Zubair.
The director of the Urban Planning Directorate in the governorate, Nusrat Laibi Al-Saad, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by “Al-Iqtisad News”, that “in implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Governor of Basra approved the subdivision plan and title deeds for the real estate of the Nebras Petrochemical Project, Exporting (1), (2) and (3) of District 16, (Kraya Al-Dhib), and excreting lots (1), (2) and (3) of District 17 (Al-Hadamah), and registering them in the name of the Ministry of Industry/General Company for Petrochemical Industries.
He added, “This project, which extends over an area of 4,500 dunums, is considered one of the important strategic projects to enhance Iraq’s leadership in the petrochemical industries in the region.”
