Today, Tuesday, the Parliamentary Legal Committee revealed the most prominent amendments that will be included in the Job Staffing Law, with its 21st amendment since its enactment in 1960, as the law carries amendments that will lead to the emergence of new job titles and names in government institutions.

Member of the Legal Committee, Muhammad Jassim, stated, “The amendment to the Staffing Law will be given a first reading after it is presented by the Presidency during the upcoming sessions, noting that Law 25 of 1960 has been greatly amended and the amendment that Parliament will proceed with is Amendment 21.”

He pointed out that "we need a new law because the government is requesting that a certain paragraph of it be amended because it affects a wide segment of employees." He pointed out the possibility of proposing a new law, deleting the previous amendments, and legislating a law that includes the amendments. As a result, we will have a new law. Jassim added that legislating a new law takes a long time. Confusion may arise regarding it, so we will proceed with the amendment and make another recommendation to introduce a new law.”

He explained that "the law includes the recent amendment received from the government to create new job titles that include physical researchers, social researchers, and business manager, in addition to titles belonging to the Ministries of Culture and Health and others because they were residents and had problems with their job grades due to the lack of job titles," according to Al-Sabah newspaper. Governmental.

He stated that "the Legal Committee does not have many problems and will audit the schedules sent by the government, stressing that the law will go ahead and include a paragraph that gives the Council of Ministers the authority to create these titles without referring to Parliament in the future."
