    BAGHDAD / The MP on the mass of the national approach, Jamal al-Muhammadawi, on Sunday, to calculate the scientific titles of the holders of higher degrees of employees of the Shiite Waqf like their peers in the Sunni endowment.

    "We call upon the administration of the presidency of the Shiite Waqf bureau not to impede the eligibility of its employees who hold higher degrees (master's, doctorate or equivalent) and complete their transactions in this regard," he said in a statement received by Iraq News.

    He added that "the legal opinion issued by the Ministry of Higher Education gives the employees of the Shiite Waqf office holders of higher degrees, who meet the requirements of the faculty or have full time to give lectures or scientific research or who exercise administrative work entitled to obtain all the rights and privileges provided for in the law of the Ministry Higher Education No. 40 of 1988 amended and the law of university service for the year 2008 in addition to the provisions of the Shiite Waqf Law for the year 2012.

    He added that "the justification used by the competent authorities in the Shiite Waqf Bureau is illogical and legal and deprive this scientific segment of its professional, scientific and material merit."

    "The necessity of observing the same conditions in the other ministries legally, especially that the Sunni Endowments Department counts all the scientific titles of its employees who hold higher degrees in accordance with administrative regulations and instructions."

    He pointed out that "we in the House of Representatives are closely following the procedures that government institutions deal with their employees and we are working to raise the injustice against employees to upgrade the level of services provided by ministries and state institutions."
