    Information / Baghdad..
Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Energy and Electricity Committee called on the Ministry of Electricity to diversify gas import sources to ensure the operation of electrical stations as the summer season approaches.
Committee member Kamel Anid told Al-Maalouma, “The Energy and Electricity Committee had previously called on the Ministry of Electricity to reduce its dependence on Iranian gas and look for diversifying its sources of gas to avoid the power outage crisis.”
He added, "Iraq depends on gas imported from Iran to operate power plants in the country, and if the gas from Iran stops, the electricity deficit may return again."
He continued, "His committee is continuing to discuss the Ministry of Electricity's plan for the current year, to improve service during the next summer season. Ended / 25 h."
