    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Saturday (March 16, 2024), political analyst Maher Al-Abbasi presented an early political reading about the concern of traditional elites about the policy of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, considering that amending the election law is part of a policy to undermine it.
Al-Abbasi said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "An objective reading of Sudanese policy leads to the fact that he succeeded in achieving the principle of openness to neighboring countries and adopting the option of zeroing out problems with them, not to mention taking the stick from the middle and seeking to formulate a different road map in managing a state whose motto is the citizen." “By introducing projects and programs that affect the lives of millions and seeking solutions to crises that have accumulated since 2003.”
He added, "Al-Sudani achieved successes, although they were not at the level of ambition, but he began to win on the home front, but on the other hand, the matter began to worry the traditional elites in the country, who do not like to have a leader who steals the spotlight from them as they are the source of decision-making."
He pointed out that "the Sudanese cannot withdraw from the current situation, but he is gradually moving on, but there are those who are trying to undermine him early and unannounced by blocking the way for the Prime Minister in the upcoming elections by creating obstacles to the nomination or limiting his capabilities by proposing amendments to the election law."
He continued, "Undermining the Sudanese policy is a reality that will become clearer in the coming period if his programs and projects that are under implementation are achieved and reach their goals, but it cannot be certain that undermining the Prime Minister will succeed in light of international and regional changes affecting the Iraqi scene and perhaps pushing the traditional elites." "To change the road map at any time according to interests."
