political affairs researcher, Ali Najdiya, confirmed on Saturday that the Taqadum Party continues to maintain the Sunni parliamentary majority, indicating that all Sunni political forces are now aspiring to the position of Speaker of Parliament.
Najdiya said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, “All Sunni political forces are now aspiring to the position of Speaker of Parliament, but progress still maintains the majority within the Sunni House and the Speaker of Parliament is entitled to his share.”
He explained that "the dialectic of the personality of the candidate for the Presidency of Parliament is what hinders reaching a solution to the problem of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and that political custom prevails in the political process and jumping on it will lead to many problems."
He pointed out that "small political forces cannot control the rights of the larger blocs, and whoever clings to trying to pass his candidate for office will face problems that cannot be addressed."
