    Information / Baghdad..
Today, Monday, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Representative Moin Al-Kadhimi, suggested that the amendments made by the government to the budget schedules would reach Parliament at the end of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
Al-Kadhimi told Al-Maalouma, “The budget schedules for the current year 2024 are supposed to reach the House of Representatives at the end of March, indicating that the delay in sending them is due to the disruption of the work of the House of Representatives until after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.”
He added, "The amendments made by the government regarding the budget schedules have ended and will be submitted to Parliament after the Eid al-Fitr holiday," noting that "the value of the budget was raised from 199 trillion to 228 trillion, which made the deficit large, but the budget will not be spent in full."
