The Ministry of Commerce intends to adopt a modern electronic system to reduce cases of corruption, while its affiliated companies registration department aspires to provide more than 150 services to citizens in its new location scheduled to be opened.
Minister of Commerce Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi told Al-Sabah: The Company Registration Department is one of the important departments in the Ministry, and it continues to complete automation procedures in accordance with modern and advanced programs to trade similar ones in countries of the world, and to follow a modern electronic system to reduce cases of corruption and simplify work procedures.
He added that the new site of the department will be opened during the coming period, and measures will be taken to reduce the daily routine to raise the level of services provided that are consistent with the government program, and to change the new site in form and content and develop the infrastructure that suits auditors and companies.
Al-Ghurairi pointed out the need to restructure the department and maximize financial revenues, in addition to equipping it with computers and developing the capabilities and skills of the employees working in it after their participation in training courses.
He stated that the department will provide more than 50 services, with an ambition to provide more than 150 services after moving to the new site, explaining that the service is characterized by the process of providing it electronically in a way that enables the citizen to calculate and know the details of the required fees automatically, while activating the electronic payment feature for the service fees, as well as About saving time and effort.
