The Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa, confirmed on Friday that the implementation of the Baghdad Metro project this year will be carried out by a solid investment company.
Musa said, in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the issue of conflicts was carefully studied by the Baghdad Municipality as it is the beneficiary of the project,” pointing out that “the conflicts are the responsibility of the Baghdad Municipality, and therefore the Baghdad Municipality will provide All facilities will be provided to eliminate and avoid these conflicts in the implementation of this project.”
He pointed out that "this year will witness the referral of the Baghdad Metro project for implementation to one of the reputable investment companies."
The advisor to the Prime Minister for Transport Affairs, Nasser Al-Asadi, had previously confirmed that the final routes for the Baghdad Metro project, which includes 64 stations, had been determined, noting that “three large companies and alliances submitted for the Baghdad Metro, and that “most of the companies applying are Chinese and European, and they are very prestigious.”
Al-Asadi noted . He pointed out that "64 stations will be built within the Baghdad Metro, and the final routes of the project have been determined."
He stressed that "the advisory opinion will end at the end of this month through the analysis of the bids, and the winning coalition will then be announced."
