Jordanian industry exports to Iraq increase in the first quarter of 2024

Shafaq News/ Jordan announced, on Saturday, that Omani industry exports to Iraq increased during the first quarter of the current year 2024.
A report issued by the Jordanian Amman Chamber of Industry, viewed by Shafaq News Agency, showed: “The Chamber’s exports during the first quarter amounted to 1.776 billion dinars, compared to 1.813 billion dinars for the same period last year 2023.”
The United States of America, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and India accounted for more than half of the Amman Chamber of Industry’s exports during the first quarter of the current year 2024, recording a value of 1.261 million dinars.
The report added, “America came first as the country that imports the most from Jordan, with about 638 million dinars, followed by Saudi Arabia, with a value of 209 million dinars.”
Oman's industry exports increased during the first quarter of the current year to Iraq to about 267 million dinars, compared to 188 million dinars for the same period last year, an increase of 20 percent, and to India at a value of 138 million dinars.
The Chamber explained that its exports, during the first quarter of the current year 2024, were distributed among the chemical and cosmetics industries sectors with a value of 561 million dinars, mining with a value of about 307 million dinars, and engineering, electrical and information technology sectors with a value of 251 million dinars.
According to statistical data, exports from the catering, food, agricultural and livestock industries sectors amounted to about 132 million dinars, therapeutic and medical supplies amounted to 101 million dinars, and leather and textile industries amounted to 75 million dinars.
The rest of Oman’s industry exports during the first quarter of this year were distributed among the sectors of the packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies industries, with a value of 70 million dinars, plastic and rubber, with a value of about 68 million dinars, construction, with a value of about 29 million dinars, and finally the wood and furniture industries, with a value of about 6 million dinars.
The US dollar is equal to about 70 Jordanian dinars.
