[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Oil has set the 27th of April as the date for the competition event to receive and open competitive offers from international oil companies for contracts for exploratory blocks and fields (oil and gas) for the fifth complementary and sixth licensing rounds, in addition to announcing the winning companies.
Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said in a statement: “The fifth {supplementary} and sixth rounds include (30) promising projects, with 16 fields and exploratory plots, for the fifth supplementary round and (14) exploratory plots for the sixth round, which includes (11) promising plots.” Gas and (3) with oil promise.”
Jihad pointed out, "The Ministry aims through these tours to maximize oil and gas reserves, to support the energy sector and related industries, and to advance the economic, social and environmental reality of the Iraqi governorates through optimal investment of national wealth and sustainable development in cooperation with international companies."
He noted, "These projects include the governorates of Nineveh, Anbar, Karbala, Najaf, Babil, Al-Qadisiyah, Muthanna, Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Wasit, Diyala, in addition to the capital, Baghdad./End 7[/rtl]
