[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, at his residence in the American capital, Washington, at dawn today, Thursday (Baghdad time), a delegation from the American company Baker Hughes. During the meeting, the development of the company’s work in Iraq in the field of oil and gas was discussed.
Al-Sudani stressed, according to a statement from his media office: “Gas projects in Iraq constitute a priority for the government, in order to cover the need for the constructed electrical stations, in addition to stopping waste by burning gas that harms the environment.” He
also urged the company to contribute to establishing a factory for the chemicals used in drilling and extraction operations. For its part ,
the Baker Hughes delegation confirmed the company’s readiness for further cooperation with the government and the Iraqi private sector, and its readiness to implement smart solutions in the field of developing oil and gas fields.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi private sector has signed a memorandum of understanding with Baker Hughes in the field of use Smart solutions to stop burning gas and develop and maintain oil fields./ End H[/rtl]
