The Arab Tourism Media Union announced that “Iraq”, headed by the Union, won in the elections held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, by unanimous votes of the members of the new Board of Directors.
The Iraqi journalist, Dr. Sabah Alal Zayer, who served as interim president for about a month, received 13 votes, representing the number of members of the Board of Directors who were elected today by the members of the General Assembly.
The Arab Tourism Media Union voted unanimously to choose Iraqi journalist and media figure Dr. Sabah Alal Zayer to head it during the coming period.
An official source in the federation told Mawazine News, “The president of the Arab Tourism Media Union was elected by 13 members representing 13 countries who make up the federation’s board of directors,” pointing out that “Laila bint Atiyatallah was elected as a representative for Africa, and Ayman Al-Ali was elected as a representative for Asia.” Lamia Mahmoud, Secretary-General.

The union includes 14 Arab countries, including Iraq, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and the Maghreb countries, and it includes journalists and media professionals specialized in tourism media in print, visual, audio and electronic media.
