Today, Monday (April 29, 2024), the Federal Integrity Commission announced the launch of its educational and public relations program entitled (The National Project Combined with Sharia Mandate - We Defeat Corruption), in a number of ministries, state institutions, unions, and community events.
The department said in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “its program aims to educate about the project launched by the head of the commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, out of belief in the importance of awareness of the dangers of corruption and the corrupt, and the necessity of adopting an integrated national project capable of diagnosing the head of corruption, its leaders and its soldiers, and developing mechanisms to return stolen funds and property.” To the people,” noting that “it also aims to find mechanisms for managing a real battle against corruption and corruptors and victory over them, after which it is a project that targets the human being in spirit and body.”
She explained, "The program included various activities, including holding seminars and workshops in the Ministries of Education, Labor, Social Affairs, and Trade, Education Directorates, the Teachers Syndicate, and the Colleges of Education for Girls - University of Baghdad, and Political Sciences - Al-Nahrain University. It will include other activities in other institutions, as well as Preparing flyers, brochures and promotional materials to introduce the project.
She continued, "The seminars and workshops also included mentioning the research competition emerging from the project, urging participation in it through research that will be presented in accordance with the mechanisms and conditions announced on the Authority’s media outlets, and indicating that the Authority will receive the entries via e-mail ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ), in addition to “On affirming that every citizen has the right to participate in the research competition by submitting free research that is not restricted by the formal limitations of scientific research.”
“The representatives of the Authority in these activities also urged the cooperation of official and community activities with the Authority in making this national project a success,” pointing out “the importance of participatory research including the vision and aspirations of the citizen in a clear and precise research plan in which the roles of each (the citizen, the authorities at their various levels, and the agencies) are defined.” Oversight, civil society forces individually and collectively, religious, cultural, scientific, trade union, community and tribal activities, the private sector, activists and media professionals) in the battle against corruption, according to the Commission’s statement.
