Today, Saturday, Baghdad Provincial Council member Raed Al-Hamash called for legislating a law for the capital, Baghdad, to raise the level of services there.

Al-Hamash told Al-Maalouma, “The capital law is one of the important laws that, if approved, will give the Baghdad Provincial Council oversight of the capital, Baghdad.”
He added, "The Council's jurisdiction is limited to the areas on the outskirts of Baghdad," noting, "The Capital Law clearly defines powers and ensures the provision of better and more effective services in dealing with current challenges."
He pointed out, "A significant overlap in powers between the secretariat and the governorate, and the best solution to serve the Baghdadi citizen is to legislate the capital law by the House of Representatives." Ended / 25 hours
