A member of the Parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committee, Abdul Hadi Al-Abbasi, revealed today, Saturday, a new initiative to launch supportive loans for livestock projects in Iraq.
Al-Abbasi told Al-Maalouma, “There are a number of measures to support farmers and livestock and provide the necessary facilities for them to advance in this important sector.”
He added, "Supporting farmers and enhancing livestock in Iraq is an urgent necessity to maintain food security and support local production."
Al-Abbasi pointed out that "the Iraqi economy needs to strengthen and diversify its sources, instead of relying on the oil sector only." Ended / 25 Q.
