    Information / Baghdad
The head of the Diwani Order Committee (160), which specializes in investigating Iraqi port violations, Representative Yasser Al-Husseini, revealed huge numbers that were wasted in the file of the large port of Al-Faw.

Al-Husseini said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, “The Al-Faw Grand Port facility is considered ancient and was subject to the hands of corrupt people. Long-term operational contracts were concluded outside of government contract instructions for a period of 35 years on facilities inside the port, despite all Iraqis hoping for the best from these contracts.”
He added, "The development path is based on the large port of Al-Faw. Therefore, we send a warning to the Ministry of Transport and hope that the Prime Minister will look into the merits of these suspicious contracts."
He explained, "There are companies that mortgage the wealth of this country in a strange way, and the ministry also unfortunately supports this thing and is going ahead with it."
He stated that Iraqi ports operate outside the authority of Parliament, the government, the judiciary, and all other regulatory bodies.
He stressed, "The Al-Faw port that we waited for will not benefit and increase imports to Iraq for the next fifty years as long as the hands of the corrupt are controlling the contracts."
A committee was formed [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by parliamentary order to investigate violations in Iraqi ports, headed by Representative Yasser Al-Husseini and the membership of 12 representatives, supported by employees working in the relevant ministries.
