A source within the Taqaddam Party, which is headed by the dismissed Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, revealed today, Wednesday, that Al-Halbousi provided very large sums of money to dissidents from his party to return to the ranks of his party.

The source told Al-Maalouma Agency, "Four dissident members from the party in Mosul and Salah al-Din governorates received huge sums of money from Al-Halbousi to persuade them to rescind their decision to defect."
The source added, "Al-Halbousi authorized one of his close associates to work to persuade the dissidents to rescind their decision."
The party has recently been exposed to a very large bout of defections, at the level of deputies, members of the provincial council, and leaders within the party. End / 12A
