Today, Thursday, the head of the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority in the Ministry of Planning, Diya Awad Kazem, announced the results of the experimental census process in all governorates.
Kazem said, “The census included the participation of more than (1,000) employees in the pilot census distributed among office and field work in all governorates, with (86) areas chosen in (41) urban localities and (45) villages in the countryside, which were divided into (503) blocks, and each block includes (100) buildings, meaning (65,390) buildings, with the expected increase over a period of (14) days.
He added, "The work began on May 31, 2024, by packing the shops and villages, then numbering the buildings, and matching them with statistical maps drawn from satellite images using geographic information systems and tablet devices. After that, the electronic inventory and numbering form was completed, based on the electronic application, and the data is sent to The moment data is collected in the field and stored in the data center.”
