    The Ministry of Planning pledged to announce the preliminary results of the general population and housing census scheduled to be conducted in November of this year, 24 hours after the completion of the procedures, indicating that it had contracted with a well-known international consulting company to implement it.

    Ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi said, “Preparations are continuing to implement the census in November of this year,” stressing that “a contract has been contracted with an international consulting company that began its work several weeks ago at the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority,” according to the official Al-Sabah newspaper.




    Al-Hindawi added, “This leading and well-known company has carried out dozens of censuses in countries including China, which has a population of more than 1.4 billion people,” attributing the reason for contracting with the company to “being keen to implement the census in accordance with the latest developments the world has reached in this field.” field, and for results to appear at a high level of accuracy, reliability and speed.”

    He pointed out that "the census mechanisms are implemented by Iraqi personnel who have been trained over the past years to complete this national procedure," noting that "the initial results will appear 24 hours after it is conducted, while the detailed and complete final results will appear within two or three months."

    The Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, had previously confirmed that his ministry was continuing its procedures to implement the general census of population and housing during the current year, indicating that work was continuing to complete all requirements in accordance with the timelines of the work plan for the census project.
