    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]Member of the Parliamentary Economy, Industry and Trade Committee, Yasser Al-Husseini, revealed that Emirati influence in Iraq is stronger than America and Iran, while noting that there are attempts to “mortgage” the country and the debts have begun to “drown us.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Husseini said in a televised speech followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that “the Emirati influence in Iraq has become stronger than that of America and Iran,” noting that “the progress of the Aqaba pipeline project means Iraq’s participation in the war against Gaza.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "There is fraud in implementing the Iraqi-Chinese agreement projects," stressing that "70% of the ministers did not succeed in their work, and 30% of them failed and deserve to be dismissed."[/rtl]
[rtl]A member of the Economics Committee stated that “some ministers concluded contracts in which they wasted public money,” explaining that “the Minister of Oil did not succeed in reducing the smuggling of oil derivatives.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Husseini pointed out that “Saudi Aramco has taken over an Iraqi oil pipeline,” adding that “there are attempts to (mortgage) the country and the debts have begun to drown us.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued by saying, "We have waste contracts that if the people saw them, they would slap them on the head," pointing out that "the construction of residential complexes is not subject to oversight or accountability."[/rtl]
[rtl]Regarding Al-Faw port, Al-Husseini stressed that it “is just dust and will not operate before 2030,” indicating that it “will not bring any benefit to the Iraqis for 50 years according to current data.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Husseini touched on the electricity file, saying: “The current Minister of Electricity is considered one of Iraq’s experts, but he is subject to external pressure,” noting that “America has refused to discuss the electricity file with heads of government.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Husseini concluded by saying, “Iraqi sulfur is the highest purity in the world,” adding that “the Mishraq sulfur field was transferred to a Jordanian company specializing in food industries,” despite the Ministry of Industry’s denial of this matter.[/rtl]
