The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Saturday, that it had carried out two arrest operations against two employees in the Ministries of Finance and Trade in Anbar Governorate, indicating that the accused were caught red-handed in bribery.
The authority stated in a statement, seen by Al-Eqtisad News, “It was reported that the work team of the Anbar Investigation Office, which moved to the branch of the Agricultural Bank in the governorate, based on a judicial arrest warrant, carried out an arrest operation of one of the bank’s employees red-handed while receiving a bribe from a citizen. In exchange for postponing the payment of a loan owed by a person.
In a separate operation, the Commission stated that “a team composed of staff from the Anbar Investigation Office was able - after investigation, follow-up and monitoring - to arrest an employee in the General Grain Marketing Company in Anbar, after he received sums of money from the owners of the wheels who marketed wheat, warning that the accused did not The owners of these wheels are allowed to enter the company only after paying a sum of money for each wheel,” indicating that “the bribe amounts were seized in his possession.”
